End of Term Update - 1st April

Just a short end-of-term update for you. We had a great last day doing all sorts of exciting Easter things, with the highlight being 4CC leading us for our Maundy Thursday mass and re-enacting the washing of the feet live on camera! There has also been some really inspiring Easter-themed art and craft work going on, including some egg-decorating in Y5 (Ms Tansey had to hard-boil 30 eggs!).

I think the greatest excitement of the week, however, was on Monday when the playground was transformed into a mini-farm and the children went to visit chickens, goats, rabbits and even a ferret. The Foundation children had a chance to ride the miniature ponies around the playtrail, but we couldn't tempt Mrs Robbins to have a go! See some of the photos on Twitter @StPatricksSoton

We’re really looking forward to starting the holiday club the week after next and for those of you who are not joining us, there are some online activities you can join in instead – details below with a poster also attached.

Southampton HAF Project

The Local Authority have been putting together a virtual offering for children and families with activities to take part in over the holidays. This is their message for you:

Over the second week of the Easter Holidays, Southampton HAF project will be launching its online platform to support pupils during the holidays. This is just the start of a year long project and we will continue to offer this throughout the summer and Christmas as well as the face to face work.

All parents need to do, to access the platform you need to visit www.hafsouthampton.org and click on the 'SIGN UP' button (Available from 31st March). This will take you to a pre-registration page that you need to complete and submit.

Parents will then get an email once the platform is live with a link to complete their registration.

The platform will then go live on Monday 12th April where pupils and families will be able to log in and access a range of online activities.

If you need anything over the holidays, Mrs Mullin is available on 07712 097633 or by emailing elsa@st-patricks.southampton.sch.uk

I would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and commitment through yet another difficult and uncertain term and let’s hope we can at least have a more normal few months when we return after Easter.

On behalf of all at St Patricks, may I wish you a very happy and holy Easter.

Michael Lobo

School re-opens for all children on Monday 19th April.
