St Patrick's Catholic Primary School

Our partner school, the Abbey Foundation School in Lwengo, Uganda are facing many challenges. Many of their children are orphans and have no family - the school is their family. They sent us a list of challenges they would like us to help with and our school community at St Patrick's decided we MUST do something - we can't be a real Catholic school if we don't put our faith into action.

Our Mini-Vinnies group, around 25 children who meet every week to try and put the Gospel into action, are taking the lead on this project and we have pledged to raise £10,000 by St Patrick's Day, 17th March 2027 so that we can commission and build a water source for Abbey Foundation School. Our children were horrified to find that the children in Lwengo had to walk 2 miles just to reach a water source and then had to find a way to boil it and make it safe - they  could not think of anything that was more important than the right to safe, clean water.
