Daily Update - 10th June

We have been waiting and waiting all day for some proper guidance from the government about inviting back more children before the summer, but I'm afraid nothing has yet come out. The statement we have from the Education Secretary is as follows:

"While we are not able to welcome all primary children back for a full month before the summer, we continue to work with the sector on the next steps, where we'd like to see schools who have the capacity, to bring back more children in those smaller class sizes, if they are able to do before the summer holidays,"

We will therefore be discussing options with the governing body as soon as we get some direction and we will let you know what we can offer.

Tomorrow 11th June is the feast of Corpus Christi when we celebrate the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (Corpus et Sanguis Christi). In some parts of the world the tradition is to have mass processions through the streets and to decorate public places with carpets of flowers: sadly this won't be happening in many places this year. Here is a website with some nice activities for children and some information about this important feast:

And we have to direct you to the Cathedral of Corpus Christi in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas for tomorrow's online mass!

We hope you enjoyed Mrs Dineen's story about The Giant of Jum - tomorrow it's Mrs Thomas again with a cute story about a little green frog!
