Holiday Update - 29th May

Writer's picture: St PatricksSt Patricks

Half-term went quickly! We hope you've been enjoying the beautiful weather which looks set to last well into next week.

Those of you who are returning to school next week will now have received a letter with details of your particular class and timings: please remember that the school is closed completely on Monday, so Tuesday is our first day back. We will send out details next week about the next eligible groups of children and when they will be invited to return.

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, the birthday of the Church, when the Holy Spirit came down in tongues of fire and gave the disciples (forthwith "apostles") the gift of speaking many languages so that they could take the Word of God across the world. Attached are some resources from Fr Anthony at Immaculate Conception Church for you to use and you might like to join the live stream Mass from one of our unusual Catholic cathedrals at Bristol on Sunday:

Mrs Ames kicks off our YouTube stories again on Monday with a dinky story that you will love!

Discovering Children's Books

You can explore centuries of stories, poems and illustrations with Discovering Children's Books by the British Library, including how to draw a Gruffalo by the original illustrator!

Coding Games

Calling all young computer programmers! Here are some games and challenges to have a go at:

Supporting Wellbeing

Attached are some top tips from the council on how to support yourselves and your children.

We look forward to seeing some more of you next week.

"The Holy Spirit is the most perfect gift of the Father to his people and yet it is the one gift which the Father gives most easily."

Thomas Merton (American theologian and monk)
